Some missed out bits and bobs

Sorry, was kind of a bit overwhelmed by the whole ss10 fashion week thing and kind of stopped quite bluntly, there are however still a number of people out there still worth mentioning, Lanvin, for instance, obviously still very 'Lanvin', which is always a good thing, thanks to the cutest Alber Elbaz. Probably one of the most elegant collections this season in my opinion (I can't wait to get rich and dress top to toe in Lanvin, ot theres always sample sales I guess). Some gorgeous drapery, rufflage and embroidery (or bead setting, technically, fantastic craftsmanship in the first outfit below). Check it.

There's also the very reliable (to me anyway) Rei Kawakubo whos collection I adore (again), it kind of reminds me of her ss09 collection in the way that some of the pieces are constructed, like the patchwork thing, and I am all over that japanesey print, I remember buying origami paper like that when I was young! That armoury shoulder pad thing is also a must-buy, I can just imagine wearing it almost over anything. The half sheer extra long trench is one of a kind, I need to get my hands on it! Comme des Garcons rocks.

Then there's good ole' Issey Miyake whos collection, prints-wise is to die for, quite ethnic. Nothing major going on with the silhouettes or anything, a pretty safe collection I'd say. Oh, and the tights and socks, AMAZING!

Footie is great

No, I'm not really a massive football follower, I may watch the occassional Liverpool game when people around me are watching it just because I'm a scouser and I feel I need to give my support. And probably the world cup cos I might put it the odd bet to test my luck. Anyways, enough of that, what I'm talking about is the SS09 Comme des Garçons collection. Some of the pieces were designed to look like deconstructed footballs (I know some of you might call it a soccer ball, but come on, you all know in your heart that it's a football), another strike of Kawakubo's genius-ness...blah, blah, blah (there is no point in me talking about the collection now because it's so 2009...etc etc)

The only reason I am bringing this up is because I had always been wanting the jacket so badly but was held back due to the price tag, however, a shop at I.T sale shop completely changed my fate and I am now the proud owner of this baby (Thank God for sale shops). How cool am I?

I will be posting some pictures of me wearing it once the weather allows, can't wait.

Make me nude Comme

I am hoping that my obsession with the colour nude will die by making a post about it. Ever since falling in love with Margiela's nude bodysuit, I have never been able to walk past a piece of nude clothing without checking it out, or even worse, buying it. The truth is, I am getting tired of the second looks I get when walking the streets of Hong Kong in my nude leggings, get over it guys, if I wanted to walk around flashing my genatalia, I would, trust me, and I wouldn't be doing it so discreetly either. Anyways, here goes some of the nude stuff I have fallen in love with from Comme des Garçons's fall/winter 09 collection, Rei Kawakubo is a fucking genius, I never thought flesh-coloured layers of tulle could look so beautiful.

Now that did absolutely nothing for killing my obsession.
